Chrome extension support
Help with installing, importing, copying, and previewing diagrams using DiagEZ for Mermaid Live.
The Copy DiagEZ button does not appear
- Confirm the current site is
https://mermaid.live/. - Reload Mermaid Live after installing or updating the extension.
- In Chrome's extension details, confirm site access to Mermaid Live is enabled.
The extension asks for a shared Mermaid Live URL
Make sure the current address contains the diagram state. Use Mermaid Live's Share or Save diagram action, then open the resulting link before clicking Copy DiagEZ. You can also paste that link into the extension popup.
Copy does not place anything on the clipboard
Keep Mermaid Live focused and click the button again. If Chrome or another extension blocks clipboard access, open the DiagEZ toolbar popup, generate the output, and select it manually from the Output field.
The preview does not render
- Check that the Mermaid source has valid syntax.
- Try SVG with the default theme and automatic width.
- Check the DiagEZ service status.
Which output format should I use?
Prefer SVG for documentation and websites because it remains sharp at any size. Choose PNG only when the destination requires a raster image. The popup can copy a raw URL, Markdown image, or HTML image element.
How do I report a problem?
Include the extension version, Chrome version, operating system, steps to reproduce, and the exact error message. Do not send private diagram source or URLs containing secrets.
